What’s in a Dossier

This page shows exactly which fields a PrivaDossier can include, how privacy controls work, and what appears in exports like the resale-ready PDF.

Core Fields (every dossier)

Title
Item name (e.g., “Rolex Submariner 124060”)
Category
Watch, Jewelry, Art, Wine, Handbag, or Collectibles
Photos
Multiple images; choose cover photo
Documents
Receipts, certificates, appraisals, warranties (PDF/JPG/PNG)
Purchase Details
Seller, purchase date, price & currency, place of purchase
Location
Storage location (safe, vault, gallery room, etc.)
Reminders
Service, appraisal, insurance, maintenance schedules
Notes
Free-form notes (non-exportable by default; you choose)

All fields live on your device by default. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to export or share.

Privacy & Redaction Controls

Local-first: Dossiers are stored on your device. You decide what to export or share.

Default redaction: Sensitive fields like serial numbers are hidden in exports unless you explicitly reveal them.

FAQ

Do I have to fill every field?

No. Only the title and category are required. Everything else is optional and can be added over time.

Will my serial number ever be shared automatically?

No. Serial numbers are redacted by default in exports. You must actively choose to reveal them.
